The hoarding slur comes straight out of Socialist thinking. Your money is not yours; it belongs to the collective and should be in circulation. It's the same thinking that holds people shouldn't inherit money or property, and the crazy idea of demurrage.
The purpose of money is to serve your needs, and nothing else. If you save it, it is serving your purpose. If you spend it, the same is true. As soon as you believe there is such a thing as "Society" you allow many bad ideas to germinate in your mind, ending with Socialism.
Now with Bitcoin, it doesn't matter that Krugman and every shade of insanity down doesn't think it will work; Bitcoin does exactly what it is meant to do , and people's belief in it has no effect on it. If you hordl it, it does what it does, and that's it. Arguments work on it.
Bitcoin has brought reality to money. Bitcoin exists outside of opinion, just like math. It is a part of nature, a constant; it is money removed from man. It is impervious to slander, idiocracy and stupidity. You cannot reject Bitcoin, any more than you can reject gravity.
Bticoin is going to destroy many economic fallacies and lies like "the hoarding problem" and inflation as a prerequisite for a working economy. Even if people don't know these events have happened, it will still be true; people's awareness of a fact doesn't change the facts.
This is exactly why making Bitcoin easy and palatable to the lowest common denominator is the next frontier. "Don't make me think". When people say that, guess what: they actually MEAN it. This task may be much harder than anyone realises, because it means working with nocoiners.
