There were a few last week but now I see a bunch of small ones popping up in every community, especially as the other ones advertised in the media get more coverage. For example one just launched today gofundme.com/tickets-for-bg…

What's good is extra money is going to Boys and Girls Club in Harlem, but it's still amazing the enthusiasm for sending kids to this. I'm not hating on raising money to send kids to the movie but rather all the other things to help black kids that wouldn't generate enthusiasm

if you go to any of the threads on twitter created by these organizers, it's always full of blavity blacks and allies all cheering and tweeting happy crying cheering gifs and announcing "donated!" i've never seen black money mobilized like that so quickly

I see tweets by some blavity blacks + allies bragging they have donated to multiple such campaigns, and asking to be notified of more, so they can donate to those too. Imagine if we could mobilize this type of enthusiasm, willing to spend, and grassroots over something important?
