Corbyn straight out lies here. He continued appearing on Press TV after the green revolution and after Maziar was filmed under duress in prison. He'd prefer to lie than admit he was wrong.
Why can’t he just say ‘Yes of course I regret it, we all make mistakes’ and move on. Corbyn would be much better off if his aides persuaded him to concede more and not be so defensive which comes across much worse tbh. There are times to stand your ground; this ain’t one of them.
