Vitriol is "cruel and bitter criticism". It not rational for anyone to react quietly while their money and work is being destroyed by people who don't have a clue about the inner workings of what they're trying to influence. Conflating violence with speech is typical SJWism.
Erik Voorhees is a multicoiner, who believes there will be "millions of coins". This is a bizarre idea on every level, as crazy as thinking a perpetual increase in the block size is the way to solve the "scaling problem". How do you go from being a Bitcoiner to a multicoiner?
If you never understood Bitcoin in the first place, it's easy to become a multicoiner. All the words being used are interchangeable, and whatever the fashion is, you switch to those words. That is exactly what's happening here. Same tone, same delivery, only totally wrong.
Being a multicoiner is exactly the same as being a "Blockchain not Bitcoin" repeater. Multicoinism will die, just like BC!BTC has died. It takes work to break down the parts of these new tools and understand how things work. But it can be done. hackernoon.com/grundsaudaag-j…
Here is an example of how getting it wrong. "Gold is to silver as Bitcoin is to Litecoin". This is not correct. Bitcoin is gold and silver and copper all at once, once Lightning is running or another tool. Software can mimic the properties of all metallic money simultaneously.
Without a fundamental understanding of software, its nature and how you can build with it, and an understanding of economics, you can fall into the multicoinism trap. And it will be hard to get out of it if you refuse to listen and think simple correction is toxic or vitriolic.
