This is first time Sadiq has called for Corbyn to go. But he was critical of him throughout mayoral campaign.
The suggestion that Corbyn, not Sadiq, "won" London is wrong and pretty offensive. A few thoughts follow.
1. Of course Sadiq benefited from being Labour candidate. But no evidence Corbyn made personal difference.
2. Sadiq repeatedly criticised Corbyn during the campaign. Wouldn't appear with him.
3. Tories ran intensely personalised campaign against Sadiq. He defeated it with remarkable calmness and dignity.
5. Labour's London Assembly vote went down (-0.8%), mayoral vote went up (+3.9%). QED.
