Why do ministers keep saying "the British people made their wishes extremely clear"? 51.9% is not very clear.
It's a narrow margin of victory. This isn't a political point. It's a point of basic numeracy.
I was on the winning side of the Scottish independence referendum, if you can call it that. 55.3% didn't feel 'very clear' back then.
Felt traumatic & astonishing that so many Scots didn't want to be in UK. Would be nice to see even a smidgen of that humility from Brexiters
It's an extremely tight margin. Just saying it was overwhelming isn't going to make the numbers change.
